This should be the correct way to play the card game that Daddy and Mummy have bought for me ....

Considered not bad for a 2.5 year old toddler, right ??? Ha ha

National Day Celebration in School

Today, my school is celebrating Singapore's 44th birthday. Since Singapore's colour is red and white, all of us (almost all ... definitely Joel was not in red and white .... Auntie Winnie and Ms Kristy were not able to coax him to wear the national colors .... ha ha) are dressed in that colour combination. Parents are invited to the celebration since each class is supposed to put up a performance item (and yes, parents are encouraged to dress in red and white too)

So the night before, Mummy kept trying to 'psycho' me that during the celebration, there will be many parents around and told me not to have stage fright. She also psycho me that Daddy and Mummy will be there to support me and cheer me on, but upon seeing them, I must not run to them and refused to perform (that was what happened last year during the Christmas celebration) ....

On the actual day, I wore my red and white pokka dot dress and Daddy and Mummy also went there dressed in national colours.

The performance order is as follows :

Each class will perform an English song and a Chinese song.

She looked so fierce because she was stunned by Daddy, who took her photo by surprised .... in fact, 陈校长 is very kind and caring to all of us.

Opening speech by the principal 陈校长. She almost lost her voice but still managed to deliver her speech .... told the parents that the teachers and students invested a lot of effort for the past 2 weeks to put up this performance .... Hooray to the teachers and all my other friends !!!!



First to perform is the K2 group. See all the big brothers and big sisters performing ... really very good hor ....

Then comes the K1 kids. Also very good performance, especially the beginning part where each pair of students say something about Singapore



Nursery class .... poor little girl in white holding the star and everyone rushed towards her ... she must be suffocated. Ha ha. Everyone thought that was funny.

Then finally, my class to perform !!! Ms Kristy and 宋老师 put in a lot of effort to teach and guide us so cannot disgrace them ... must put up a good performance.

The first song "Stand Up for Singapore" .... In fact, Daddy has helped me prepare for the song by burning a CD with this song and kept playing in the car for the past 1 week. Daddy was thinking this is the first time in his life that he is so patroitic to keep listening to the National Day song ... ha ha !!! What to do, I am QUEEN mah !!!!

My best friend Liang Ying was standing beside me when we performed. She is the oldest in the class (Jan baby) and I am the youngest (Dec baby) .... see the difference in size when we stood together .... to show that we are best friends, Liang Ying suddenly hugged me during the performance (definitely not part of the performance) and we ended up hugging each other (see around 1 mins 45 secs into the video) ..... everyone was laughing when we did that !!! Ha ha

Next comes the toddler class ....


Few days back, Trisha got stomach flu and was hospitalized .... luckily she recovered on time and could join the celebration today. Auntie Peipei was so afraid that Trisha would see her during the performance and refused to perform, so she hid behind Daddy all the time while watching her

After all the classes had performed, it was time for everyone to sing together ...





Then lunch came !!! Every parent contributed something to the celebration. Mummy made chicken floss sushi (something that I love to eat)

Since every kid was drinking Milo and I cannot drink, so Ms Kristy gave me Ribena instead.


And that was it !!! I kept drinking my Ribena and refused to eat the food on my plate ....

Munching away a chicken drumlet happily .... Can I advertise for KFC ???? In the end, I ate 5 pieces of sushi, 2 sausages, some beehoon, a chicken drumlet and a little bit of fishball, and of the whole box of ribena!!!!! (This is the 1st time in my life that I've tasted ribena.... Mummy doesn't give me sweet drinks..... I'm so deprived hor..)

Daddy and Mummy are so proud of me ... despite I am the youngest in the class, they felt that my performance was definitely on par with the older kids .... and definitely I have done a lot better compared to last year when I was in toddler class. All the teachers in my school told Daddy and Mummy that I love to perform and I always sing the loudest in class!!!

I enjoyed myself tremendously.... looking forward to my next performance!

Taking Short Cuts

Mummy was doing art and craft with me .... she drew a picture of a giraffe, the sun and grass. Then we cut some coloured papers. Mummy then took one piece of colured paper, add some glue to it and then pasted the paper onto the giraffe (Mummy was thinking by doing that one piece at a time, this will keep me occupied throughout the art and craft session)

When it is my turn, this is what I did :

I started off by following what Mummy has done ... and then halfway, I took the glue and smear it on the picture, took many pieces of coloured papers and then sprinkled them onto the glue ... and tada .... the picture was completed within minutes !!!

That explains why some of the coloured papers are outside the picture boundary .... Mummy was so amazed and shocked that I took shortcut at such a young age ... dunno whether to say I am clever or too smart for my own good !!! Ha ha

Matching Game

There was the toy fair at Takashimaya basement so Daddy and Mummy bought me 3 toys from there ....

Since the other 2 toys are meant for older kids, so I started off with this Memory Game for kids from ages 3 and above.

Was competing with Daddy to see who can get the matching card .... good way to learn English and Chinese words

The end result .... of course I WON !!! How can I not win .... all I have to do is to take Daddy's winnings and claim them MINE !!!!

I Am Promoted !!!

表妹 is now about 2 weeks old .... that means I am now a 表姐 since 2 weeks ago !!!! When Mummy first told me when 表妹arrived, I was asking Mummy "表姐 ???" .... guess I thinking what does this mean ????

So one week ago when we went down to 公公 place on Sunday, I immediately asked Daddy and Mummy where is Biao Mei. When Daddy and Mummy brought me to 表妹, I was so excited that I kept wanting to touch her. Then when Daddy or Mummy carried 表妹, I quickly clung onto Daddy or Mummy, afraid that they will 'ignore' me .... but then one hand still holding on to 表妹 .... ha ha .... kind of jealous of 表妹 but still want to sayang her ....

The second week when I went down, I got better. I started with sitting beside 表妹 and keep wanting to disturb and sayang her

Then I started to lie down beside her and sayang her ....

Do we look alike in some ways ???

Looking forward to 表妹 play with me soon .... told Mummy 表妹是小baby， 我是大人.... ha ha

Little Patriotic Singaporean

Rehearsing for the National Day celebration in school coming Thurs ... but I only know these few lyrics from the National Day song ....

The theme for the celebration is Red and White ... so that day, I will dress in this coloured attire .... Daddy and Mummy will be joining in the celebration and they will also be in the same colour theme !!! Hooray !!!

Will update on how the celebration goes on Thurs ....

Learning the Letter A

After much art and craft, Mummy decided to take a break from this and teach me to write the letter 'A'. I've learnt to recognise the letter in school, but my school doesn't teach writing till nursery so Mummy decided to come up with her own worksheets for me to see if I know how to write.

A Morning at Kranji Countryside

Daddy and Mummy wanted to bring me to Desaru (fruit farm, animal farm etc) at the last minute but all the resorts there were fully booked for the weekend.

Therefore, they decided to bring me to the Kranji Countryside farms in the morning. Went to the D'Kranji Resort. Supposed to have some vegetable and fruit farms there ...

My first encounter with mimosa .... fully amazed that the leaves close when I touch them ... kept touching the leaves and enjoying myself, until Daddy's toe kenna bitten by some insect (suspect small centipedes crawling all around)

The little chilli padi plant .... I always tell Daddy and Mummy "Later I am big, I can eat OK ?". I use this phrase everytime Daddy and Mummy tell me I cannot eat.

Dunno what plant this is ....should be some orchid.... Daddy took a photo because the red flowers look so nice

Wow, the greatest bunch of bananas I have ever seen on the tree ....

Guess what is this plant behind us ???? Looks like a cactus, but definitely not a cactus plant

Figure that out ??? It is a dragonfruit plant !!!! See this unripe dragonfruit growing on the stem that looks like a cactus .... this is a red flesh dragonfruit

Then we proceeded to the Hay Goat Farm .... wanted to go and feed the goats, but AVA imposed the rule that the goat feeding section got to be closed to public to avoid contact with people. So can only see the staff milking the goats and looking at the goats from far ....

Finally, we went to Bollywood Veggies to have lunch there .... supposed to serve organic food there. But the place has a very very big plantation behind the restaurant, so we decided to go take a walk around before having lunch.

In front of the hut that Mas Selemat has stayed before .... Ha ha. Of course not lar !!!!

After the walk around the plantation, we proceeded to eat at the restaurant. The food taste good .... ordered stewed papaya chicken, papaya salad (really fresh and taste better than those at the thai restaurants), chicken curry, sweet potato leaf soup (was a bit gross where they mash up the sweet potato leaves and make a soup out of it .... too healthy for my liking !!!), kang kong and brown rice. The place has been in operation since 2001 ... and they even won the Dine and Wine awards for the past 2 years !!!!

Saw this sign on every table in the restaurant .... pretty funny

Mummy saw some organic bananas at the restaurant and since I just love bananas, she bought me some. The organic banana really looks different from the typical banana (eg. Del Monte) sold in supermarkets .... See how I enjoy eating my banana

Daddy and Mummy also tried the organic bananas. Then Mummy spat something out !!! Such a big black seed inside the banana !!! The owner of the restaurant explained this is Thai species and considered to be bad species (bad root) ... so once they discovered that the bananas have seeds in them, they will stop growing this species and cut off the root ...

See how I enjoy serving Daddy and Mummy their food. Should I charge them service charge instead ???

Final destination after lunch is the Aeroponics Farm .... supposed to be the first in the world .....

Daddy wants to expose me to nature more often so that I do not grow up as a shopping centre kid .... so next week, looking forward to a trip to the Seletar Animal Farm with my favourite friend, Joel and his little sister, Camille !!!!
