Morning Exercise

I slept over at 爷爷 and 奶奶 place on Friday night again. The following day was the Presidential Election Polling day, and the polling station was just the next block away. Since I was not allowed to go into the polling centre, I decided to have my morning workout while waiting for the adults to cast their votes (after a long 18 years)

See me using the Senior Citizen's exercise corner .... video compliement from 爷爷 except he took the video the wrong way ... haha

Hmmm ... looked into my crystal ball just now to find out who the next president is .... President TAN !!! Who wants to buy my crystal ball ??

I Have My First Mail !!!

I received my first mail today, when Daddy opened the letterbox in the evening. And he told me, since the mail was addressed to me, nobody can open the mail except me, unless I give that person my permission. Same philosophy for other people's mail when Daddy explained to me.

So I proudly showed Daddy my first mail - From IKEA when I joined their Smaland

There .... saw my name on the cover page ???

And eagerly, I opened my first mail !!!

Desaru Trip - Day 2

I woke up really early the next morning ... 630 am !!!! And Daddy and Mummy were still in bed, grumbling that I woke up too early, forcing me to go back to sleep. I tossed and turned and at 7 am, I declared I was fully awake !!!

So took my morning milk, while Daddy and Mummy washed up. Daddy took a video of the hotel room

I was so ready to go for breakfast at the resort coffee place.

And after breakfast, guess what we did ??? Of course to the water park AGAIN !!! Because it was a Sunday, the place was really crowded. But that did not stop me from playing the Lazy River again ... just need to queue up and wait for my turn

Spent another 1.5 hrs before we went back to the room to shower and prepare to set off back to JB. But before that, we went back to the Desaru Fruit Farm to buy home some fresh fruits : guava, water apples, soursop and rambutans !!! For the great quality, we spent less than 50 RM

We drove to Jusco at Tebrau City. Slept in the car with my sunglasses on ....

Reason we stopped by Jusco was to stock up my shower foam .... taking into currency conversion, each bottle only cost less than half the price of that in Singapore. We had lunch at Fish Manhattan.

Ordered the Grilled Gala Platter and fried mushroom. Yummy yummy

After we are done with our shopping, we set off home back to Singapore. Reached home at 430 pm ....

Weekend was really great for the short gateaway ... Daddy and Mummy promised me that they will bring me back to Desaru this year ... so that I can play my Lazy River again !!! Hooray !!!

Desaru Trip - Day 1 (Resort)

After the lunch at the fruit farm, we made our way to the Lotus Desaru Resort. Quite a short drive there (less than 10 mins). While Daddy was checking in, Mummy took some photos of me in this vintage fire engine, just at the resort lobby.
We got our room keys and I told Daddy and Mummy that I want to pull the luggage by myself ... with my favourite Monkey in one hand, and the luggage in the other, I went up the ramp

To our room : Block H Room 106

Our room !!! A one bedder ... Daddy took a video of the room the next day

Then we decided to explore the Water Park in the resort. The only reason why we chose that resort was because of the Water Park. Read on the internet and from friends that the Water Park was perfect for kids entertainment

We changed into our swimming attire and made our way there

And the water park was just the perfect facilities to entertain me for the afternoon.

Initially, I was afraid to go down the water slide by myself so had Daddy to go down with me. After we reached the bottom, the guard was saying the slide was meant for kids only .... Oops !!! And since I had a feel of how going down the slide was, I decided to go down by myself, with Daddy at the bottom waiting for me

Had so much fun that I kept doing it

And beware of the Falling Coconut ... splashing water all over the place (similar to the splashing Elephant at the Zoo)

But the most enjoyable part of the water park has to be the Lazy River ... I kept pulling Daddy to go with me ... In that, Daddy and Mummy can really see that I enjoyed myself a lot playing the Lazy River ... so much so that Daddy gave in to me, and let me play many many rounds of that.

After 1.5 hrs of water fun, we went back to the hotel room to take a nice shower, before we went out to explore the resort. Went to take a look at the beach while taking my afternoon milk ... hungry after all the water fun

But I was too tired that I took a short nap for about 30 mins before we went for dinner. Mummy found out from the Internet and her colleague that there was this place called "Good Luck" restaurant that served cheap and good seafood. So with a GPS, we made our way there ... to another small village

Saw fresh lobster swimming ....

And one lobster ended up on our plate ... haha

Also order a dish of vegetable and oyster omelette

And fresh fish for me, cooked in HK style !!!

All in all, the bill came up to be RM120, half of which was contributed by the lobster .... which was a bit overcooked. The other dishes were very nicely cooked, with the right taste. Perhaps if Daddy and Mummy ordered steamed lobster, perhaps the taste would be better ....

When we went back to the hotel, we ate the water apple that we bought from the fruit farm

That night, I managed to fall asleep only at 10 pm ... perhaps due to the excitement that I had during the day, or perhaps the afternoon power nap was too powerful .... haha

Desaru Trip - Day 1 (Fruit Farm)

Over the weekend, we drove to Desaru for a short getaway. Initially, we wanted to go there on Childre's Day (7 Oct) since the school would be closed and Daddy / Mummy had to take leave to take care of me. However, Mummy realized that the hotel over there is so cheap during the weekend, so we decided to bring forward our trip. Unfortunately, Joel and family could not join us.

So on Sat morning, I woke up at 730 am, and prepared for the trip. We hit the road at about 830 am. Was stuck at the Woodlands and Malaysian checkpoint for about 30 mins or so, and then we were in Malaysia. Daddy borrowed a GPS from his colleague, but because the new Desaru expressway is newly built, it was not detected on the GPS. So we followed the signboards, and it was quite easy to get onto the expressway.

It was just a straight road and along the way, we did not see many cars at all ... quite a scenic view as we drove on. We decided to explore the famous Desaru Fruit Farm first before we check in. Reached there about 10+ am or so.

We signed up for the fruit farm tour (adult 20 RM, child 15 RM). While waiting for the tour to be conducted, we explore around the area. Then I started to pinch my nose ....

Because the uncle was opening durians !!! Drama right ?? Ha ha

Then the tour started. We went into the fruit farm, and saw quite a variety of fruits and trees. The tour guide was explaining to us .... see the look-alike catcus tree

But was actually a dragonfruit tree

Jackfruit hanging up in the sky.

And my 克星 - the durian tree

Mini bananas .... cannot be eaten. According to the tour guide, this is planted only for esthetic purposes

Only this type of bananas can be eaten. And this tree is unique because it can bear twins !!! Usually there is only one comb of banana, not two

The banana flower. The tour guide was saying most of the flowers should droop down, but this one had taken Tongkat Ali and stood up. Haha

Guess what is on top ???

Closed up view ... passion fruits !!! But Malaysian species are sour, rather than sweet

Huge sunflowers !!!

We took a rest after quite a walk .... took some pictures

And then I saw a cat !!! Just so coincidentally, I was also wearing a blouse with a cat on it

This kind auntie gave me a bit of the fish food so that I can feed the fishes

And we saw water apples !!! And when the tour guide gave us some of the leaves to smell, the leaves also smell of the fruit itself !!! Same for guave leaves .... really strong smell, just like the fruits !!! We also saw laksa and curry shrubs

And my favourite part ... the mini zoo in the fruit farm. Get to feed the rabbits !!!

They even had a monkey kept in the farm !!! But we were not allowed to feed it

Saw a bunch of ducks walking around ... led by the Mummy duck

Why are you taking my photo ???

After the fruit farm tour, we went to attend the sales speech on how they rear bees to get honey ....

And then since it was close to lunch time, we decided to stay for the buffet lunch. And the reason why we really stayed was due to the fruit buffet. We wanted to try out as many kind of fruits they had in the farm. Adult cost 25 RM, while child is 23 RM.

As it turned out, the main buffet spread was not tat nice (just like those catering type of food), but the fruits variety was good, and the quality was great ... so we had fruits to keep us really full. There was also fried durian (just like fried banana). Daddy loved that, because it tasted really unique. But next time, would not stay for the buffet lunch since not that worth it.
