Sick Again

Everytime I go into teething period, my immune system is down and I fall sick very easily .... so for the past 2 days, I was down with viral fever, as high as 39.6 degC (doctor suspects fake measles). Had been waking up so often (lost count) in the middle of the night that Daddy and Mummy did not have enough sleep .... Daddy and Mummy had to take leave to take care of me at home.

Luckily for me, I remain active and still my usual self .... just more "sticky" and want people to play with me and pamper me ....

Daddy and Mummy wanted to bring me to Jacob Bella Gardens this weekend, so got to postpone the outing until I get well.

The Missing "9"

Looks like I am still missing the number 9 .... (you have to be patient when you watch the video.... must let me finish my tantrums, eating and 扮鬼脸 before I will count for you hehehe)

Magical Powers

Remember the post on kiddy songs, where I made Daddy and Mummy play my favourite songs in the car, then I made them sing along with the songs ???

Daddy was right ... I kind of grew out of that phase now .... and Daddy could have his favourite station back in the car sometimes ....

But one day in the car, I suddenly shouted out "STOP" ... and the car really did stop. I was so happy that I laughed out loud, thinking I had magical powers !!! Then the second time it happened again, I shouted out "STOP" and the car stopped .... Daddy and Mummy laughed out loud ....

But my magical powers did not work after that .... so sad !!!

So now Daddy and Mummy are teaching me to shout "GO" to regain back my magical powers !! Learn another new word

Finally .... But Will It Last Long ???

Finally .... Daddy and Mummy bought me a hat after such a long time (the last time was when I was still a little baby, not knowing anything at all and letting Daddy and Mummy do anything with me) .... we are planning to go to Sydney in Nov and Mummy wanted to get me a hat so that I dun get a sun burn during the trip. But I hate to have anything on my head, not to mention wearing a hat ...

So today, we went shopping and Mummy wanted to see if I will wear a hat. And I did !!! Daddy was so happy that he took a lot of pics of me with a hat .... in case my interest in wearing hat only lasts 5 minutes and then there goes his chance ....

At Kiddy Palace .... trying out this PiyoPiyo hat .... yellow is not my favourite colour .... of course not happy look lar !!!

Finally found a blue PiyoPiyo hat .... Daddy bought it for me and see how happy I was, wearing the hat immediately, walking around .....

Daddy and Mummy hope my interest in hat will last long ... at least through the trip !!!

Windmill

Today, when I went down to 公公 place for lunch, I had a pleasant surprise. There is this colourful thing in the balcony that kept spinning around .... this thing is called the windmill !!! 公公 bought this windmill for me since he knew I will definitely like it .... especially things that are colourful and can move.

And 公公 is right ... I loved it so much, that I kept playing with it .... but the moment I took it out of the balcony, it stopped spinning .... but when 公公 took it, it spinned again .... then I realised I must place the windmill near the fan then it will spin (thought 公公 had magical hands at first .... then realized as long as I followed 公公 action and place the windmill near the fan, I also have magical hands !!!! Ha ha)

叔叔的生日

Today, we went to celebrate 叔叔 birthday. Since we are going to a buffet, so Daddy and Mummy decided not to prepare my dinner and let me pinch some food at the buffet spread (Daddy and Mummy learnt their lesson the last time at 舅舅 birthday celebration where I refused to eat the food that Daddy and Mummy prepared but wanted to eat the buffet food ... in the end, wasted the home cooked food).

I was early so Daddy and Mummy brought me to Chinatown Point for a walk .... There was this lantern-making competition where all the lanterns were on display .... and believe it or not, this tiger lantern was so well-made .... looked so real .... GRRRR !!!!!

Someone was so environmentally concious that he made this lantern out of recycled plastic bottles .... not bad.

Suddenly, I got so excited that Daddy wondered why. Then he found the reason .... I saw a balloon inside DeliFrance. So Mummy decided that if I want the balloon, I should get it myself ... and you know what, I decided that should be the way. I went inside the restaurant and pointed at the balloon ... and this gor-gor at the counter was so kind. He understood what I wanted and then the next moment, I stepped out of the restaurant, this a blue balloon in my hand !!!! Mummy was so amazed at me. Ha ha.

We reached the hotel pretty early so Daddy played hide and seek with me at the hotel hobby ... until this person waved to me from far .... then I realised it was 姑姑. You should have seen how I ran towards her and ask her to carry me around .... soon after 爷爷, 奶奶 and the star of the night 叔叔 came.

Mummy looked at the buffet spread and saw I can only eat the beehoon and pan fried fish .... but that was enough for my little tummy. Moreover, I loved 面面 of any sort ... as long as it does not contain egg.

爷爷 and 姑姑 had to take turns to entertain me while the others had their food ....

Then 叔叔 decided to bring me out to the lobby and entertain me ..... Poor Daddy, had to follow us and be our videographer.

Who cares about looking at the camera, when I have the camera bag ....

There were these 2 big red arm chairs in the lobby and I decided to play on the arm chair .... see how comfortable I was to get up and down the chair .... no way of falling off the chair (all the adults were 'sweating' as I messed around with the chair) ....

SSO at the Race Course (Turf Club)

Today is 农历八月十五中秋节, so SSO has an outdoor concert at the Turf Club in the evening at 7 pm ..... Daddy and Mummy planned to bring me there since I missed all the other SSO outdoor concerts in the past. Why ??? Because everytime, I wanted to go, it rained ... and today, same thing .... started raining at 6 pm .... (must be my 八字and SSO 八字不合)

Then Kate Jie Jie's mother SMSed Mummy saying there was only a drizzle at the Turf Club and the spectator seats were sheltered ... so Daddy and Mummy rushed down after feeding me dinner ....

We were early so while watching the orchestra preparing for the concert, I got a free flower balloon .... and started smelling it (more like eating it)

Kate Jie Jie just woke up from her nap .... while the adults were talking, I was also 'chatting' with Kate Jie Jie

Then the concert started filling the air with melodious music .... I kept pointing to the stage, calling "Uncle" (degraded Mastreo Lim Yau to Uncle Lim Yau)

At the end of every piece, everyone clapped. Kate Jie Jie and I also did the same .... Hip Hip Hooray !!!
Except for one piece .... they played an excerpt from "Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone" by John Williams and I kept shaking my hands and said "Don't want" in Cantonese .... Daddy and Mummy did not know why I dun like that piece .... Mummy had to distract me because SSO concert, not like CD player, can fast forward ... ha ha

Otherwise, see how much I enjoyed myself throughout the concert ....

Now, I am ready to go to the SSO Baby's Prom at the end of the year .... definitely no 八字 clash since the concert is indoors at VCH and Daddy already bought the tickets ... so die die must go.

Happily Married ....

Of cos not me lar .... me so young, Daddy cannot even take my photo to Hong Lim park to match-make ....

The stars of the day ...... Uncle Shucheng and Auntie Peilin !!!!

Actually, Uncle Shucheng and Auntie Peilin ROMed some time back .... but they had their Chinese sit-down dinner on 农历八月十五中秋节 !!! Auspicious date for wedding

Uncle Shucheng is Daddy's friend since Secondary school days, to the same JC (National JC), then to the same faculty in university (NUS) .... so on that day, Daddy went to help out as 兄弟 in the morning. Daddy said that was one of the mildest sabo that he experienced before ... not that he is complaining about that ... ha ha. Heard things would be different if Auntie Peilin's sister was around that morning .... Ooops, I make it sound like Auntie Peiline's sister is so bad ...

So I decided to put on my best behaviour and change into my pretty pink party dress for the joyous occasion (normal days, I would have struggled to wear the party dress, cos the material is not made of comfortable cotton). Uncle Shucheng and Auntie Peilin were so considerate .... since that day was 中秋节, they gave out Barney (my favourite cartoon charater) lanterns to every kid at the wedding lunch .... so all in all this year, I had 4 lanterns .... Daddy and Mummy decided to save the Barney lantern to next year.

Both Uncle Shucheng and Auntie Peilin are vegetarian so the wedding lunch was also vegetarian ... something different from the usual .... and so I was able to pinch some food from the lunch ....

Did I tell you that Mandy's mother and Uncle Shucheng's sister, Shanice Jie Jie, are good friends ??? Shanice Jie Jie already knew me through me blog long ago so when she saw Daddy, she insisted on him bringing me to her so that she can play with me ....

See how pretty Shanice Jie Jie is ... and she can sing Chinese Opera as well !!!! Uncle Shucheng plays in the symphonic band so both of them can 中西合并 and perform a duet !!!!

I got so comfortable with Shanice Jie Jie that when she wanted to carry me and walk around, I happily went along with her .... Daddy shook his head and said I am one, who is easy to kidnap ....

Daddy, you are not that rich, who wants to kidnap me ????

See, once I have a Barney lantern, nothing else is more important ....

Wishing Uncle Shucheng and Auntie Peilin 早生贵子 so that I have more company next year .... also helping to convey Uncle Shucheng's Daddy's wishes !!! Ha ha ha

Celebrating Mid Autumn Festival at CCK

Today, 公公，舅舅 and 舅母 came by for dinner to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival .... after dinner, Mummy told 公公 to bring me downstairs so that I can carry my little lantern around .... more like Daddy and Mummy can take a break from running after me .. ha ha

We went to the playground beside my block .... and I started riding the horse with one hand, and the other, holding my lantern

But the moment I see the slide, guess what ??? I gave the lantern to 舅母 and played on the slide immediately .... who cares about Mid Autumn Festival .... ha ha

Err .... How do I get onto it ???

Taking a rest on the bench after all the running, before we went back up .... see, I have my lantern back again.

I kept waking up throughout the night because of too much excitement .... Poor Daddy and Mummy ....

舅舅的生日

We celebrated 舅舅 birthday at the cafe at Furama Riverfront. Actually, I wore a very pretty dress but soon after I finished my lunch, my Petpet 'gave way' and Mummy had to change me into romper ....

There was also a first month celebration party at the cafe so the cafe was under-staffed .... the plates, bowls and spoons were not replenished fast enough at the buffet table .... and there were at least 2 incidents of careless waiters breaking cutlery ....

Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself a lot .... I disturbed 舅母and 舅舅 to bring me around the hotel for a walk ... so that Daddy, Mummy, 公公 and 太姨婆 can enjoy their lunch ....

Hooray !!! I am taller than 舅母

后悔莫及 II

Remember the post on 后悔莫及 .... Daddy thought he will just resign himself to fate and hope I will get over this phase fast ....

Never did Daddy expect me not to get over this phase, but get worse ....

A typical day to school in the car :

Jing Ting : "Daddy"
Daddy : "Yes, Ting"
Jing Ting : (pointing to the speaker at the back of the car) "Daddy, SONGS !!!"
Daddy : (reluctantly turn on the radio and play the kiddy songs) "OK"
Jing Ting : "Daddy, SING !!!!"
Daddy : (fainted in the car !!!)

后悔莫及

Daddy now regrets it terribly !!!!

Two weeks ago, when we went to the baby fair at Takashimaya to buy my pull-up pants, Daddy got a free CD containing kiddy songs .... free gift wah, might as well take it and play for me in the car ...

So the next day, on the way to my school, Daddy played the kiddy song CD .... I loved it a lot since I get to learn new songs ...

The second day came, and Daddy played it in the car again .... the songs are still interesting to Daddy (Daddy like no childhood one, many kiddy songs also dunno how to sing .... ha ha), and of course, to me ....

The same thing happened for a week ... until this week, Daddy got a bit (that is an understatement !!!) bored of the kiddy songs, so he switched to YES 933 or Symphony 924.

And you should have seen my reaction !!!! I kept screaming for Daddy to play the kiddy songs so that I can sing along with them (and seriously, I can sings some words ..... like filling in the blanks of a song lyrics) .....

Daddy got smart the next time. He did not turn on the radio at all (so that he can get some peace in the car), so that I will not be reminded of the songs .... but I got smarter .... how can my journey to school be so quiet !!! So of course I kept screaming for Daddy to play my favourite songs .... until Daddy decided to train me to say the word "SONG" if I want to listen to my kiddy songs, instead of me screaming ....

Poor Daddy .... every morning, for the first half hour to my school, he got to endure listening to my kiddy songs (like broken record, keep playing the same songs over and over again) .... and once he dropped me off, he tuned to his favourite radio station .... for only 15 minutes before he reached his office !!!

Poor Daddy .... got to endure until I grow out of this phase ....

无聊的Daddy

Daddy is so 无聊 nowadays that he just video me every minute of the day .... he just loves to hear me say words .... even when the pronunciation may not be accurate ....

So watch out for how I said "一二三" .... Daddy is still trying to video me counting numbers (1 to 10, with 9 left out) in English and saying "ABC" .....

Daddy and Mummy are glad that my speech and vocab are expanding steadily ...

Making Mini Mooncakes

Every year, Mummy will make her own snowskin mooncakes .... and this year, she decided since I am big enough, I should help her ...

Step 1 : Position yourself properly to make the perfect dough

Step 2 : Press and knead the dough several times

Step 3 : If step 2 is not enough, press harder, until you grith your teeth ....

P.S : Mummy decided that my final masterpiece 见不得人, so replaced with her masterpieces .....

Mid Autumn Festival at Clarke Quay

This year, Daddy and Mummy decided to let me choose my own lantern .... so we went to Chinatown to shop for my lantern ..... went to so many stores but could not find one that I like ... until I met a friendly Auntie at this store .... she was so patient with me and let me choose from her lanterns of all different designs .... Hello Kitty, Fish .... until I decided on this Pig Pig lantern ... Dun tell me the music is so 'obiang', OK .... cos the original music was even WORSE !!! The friendly Auntie changed the music for me to this less 'obiang' music ...

After that, we met up with 爷爷，奶奶，姑姑，叔叔 at Central and went to the Mid-Autumn Festival carnival at Clarke Quay

I just woke up from a short evening nap, so I was in a daze when I first saw all the brightly lit lanterns on the river. I wasn't very interested in them initially. But something did wake me up. I kept looking at that direction ...... It was the clarke quay bungee jump thingy (eh, what do you call that thing huh?) I wanted to go up, but Mummy said I am too small for that. HMPH! The same old reason again... :(

Then I slowly got interested in the rest of the lanterns.....We had a 全家福 taken with 嫦娥. Mummy nearly squashed me cos she wanted me to look at the camera!!

Then we went to our individual horoscope for pictures.
