Cameron Highlands - Day 2

The next day, we went for breakfast at 8 am in the hotel lounge, before setting off to the Boh Tea Plantation, which was about 2-3 km from our hotel. The drive was tough since the road was really narrow. There was only one road for vehicles going down and up the plantation. So for certain sections of the road, we got to slow down and stop at one corner to allow the oncoming traffic to move, before we can move. Daddy had to stick his head out of the window to give instructions to make sure that our car don't go over the edge, while Uncle Telang slowly drive us out with his superb driving skills. It was really quite a hair raising experience.

Taking a photo with the scenic view as the background

After 200 m of steps up the hill, we finally reached the entrance

We walked around the place, before seeing how the tea leaves were produced. There were lots of beautiful flowers around. I requested the camera from Daddy to take photos of the flowers .... not bad right (after several shots and Daddy chose the nicest photos of all)

And the 3 musketeers again with me as the 龙头老大

An old rolling table for tea manufacture. Camille and I took the 2 sides

And Daddy and I on an old weighing scale (that cannot work).

Jing Ting the Orang Utan !!!
The 5 steps to tea leaves manufacture !!!

And after watching how tea leaves were manufactured, we went to the shop to look around and see what we can buy back. There was samples of peach tea, so I took a cup !!! Yummy !!!

And guess what, let me endorse these 2 products by buying them back home.

There was also an adjacent cafe for people to relax, enjoy tea and some snacks (scones, muffins etc). The view was simply great, overlooking the tea plantation. In fact, Daddy met his colleague, Uncle Bernard and his family at the tea plantation. Was really a conincidence

Took some photos around the area

And see what I have found ??? Acorns !!!

For lunch, we drove to the Uncle Chow Kopitiam , which was recommended on the Internet. Was managed by a pair of retired couple (Uncle and Auntie Chow), who set up the cafe 3 years back. Can see Auntie Chow behind the counter and Uncle Chow in front

Waiting for my food ...

And my kiddy cutlery came !!! Really considerate of Uncle Chow. No wonder it got a good
review from the Singaporeans. And believe it or not, Daddy's colleague, Uncle Bernard and his family also came to this place for lunch

After lunch, we went to the nearby strawberry farm

The strawberry flower !!!

And of course the fruit itself .... a big ripe one, with some green unripe ones

And see packets of strawberries for sales. Daddy bought 2 packets back to the hotel to eat ... unfortunately, 50% of them were not that sweet ....

After the strawberry farm visit, we went to the 'pasar malam' near our hotel. Only opened during the weekends.

See, mini carrots with leaves attached to them ....
Really big yam

Colourful cauliflower !!!

For dinner, we tried steamboat, since it was really nice to eat this during cool weather. I took almost 2.5 bowls of vermicelli all by myself !!!

After dinner, we went back to our hotel apartment and started to play our games that we brought from Singapore (Mummy said, with us around, must bring games to entertain us at night, since there were minimal activities we can do over there)
Board game : Bingo !!! Both Joel and me wanted the red Bingo card, so we had to play scissor, paper, stone to see who gets the red card. And obviously, Joel won !!!

Time to turn the wheel

And we played with our remote controlled cars as well !!!

At about 930 pm, our parents said it was time to go to bed, so relunctantly, I bid good-nite to Joel and said "Bye bye, take care of yourself, OK ?" Then everyone laughed .... I was puzzled why the adult laughed .... 我只是个小大人而已
