Daddy's Job: Kite Making and Flying ?

Thought Daddy went to work as usual, but in the evening when Daddy fetched me home, I saw a big kite at the back of the car. And when I asked Daddy where he got the kite from, he said he made it with his friends at work !!! It was part of a safety team building offsite where they learnt how to make kites and then fly their own kites at Marina Barrage

So Daddy's job sounds simple : Make kite and then fly it .... I also want this kind of job when I grow up !!!

Is it really me ???

One evening, my ex-teacher Miss Daphne SMS Mummy that she saw a video which reminded her of me !!! And Miss Daphne commented that the last part of the video was super super like me !!! So Miss Daphne sent the link of the video over.

Daddy and Mummy watched the video and burst out laughing.

They knew I was a little drama princess, but did not know I was that SUPER drama .... and Miss Daphne confirmed that I could be super drama in school. Haha

Mighty Mind

Daddy bought this Mighty Mind puzzle game during one of his trips to the States 2 years ago. And because I was too young that time, Daddy kept it in my cupboard ... and in the last 2 days, I was sick (had low grade fever, and no other symptoms), so I rumbled through my cupboard and saw this game. And now I am addicted to this game

The puzzle is divided into many stages. For the first few puzzles, it was super easy (guessed it must be for those 3 years old). Just a 4-5 shapes, and simple diagrams to match the shapes





But as I moved through the puzzles to Puzzle 18, my progress got slower ..... less guidance from the puzzles and more freedom of choice to select the shapes to form the diagram. But with a little bit of help and reminder from Daddy, I still managed to complete the puzzle by myself (hmm ... must be for those who are 5 years old, and that is me ... in another 2 months !!!!)

Puzzle 19 provides the transition step that guides me to build a star by direct reference to the design itseld and the assortment of shapes (taken from the menu).

Daddy regretted that he did not buy the Super Minds, which is the next level puzzle for slightly older kids

'Dry' Swimming

This is how I show Daddy and Mummy what is 'dry' swimming .... haha, ie. practising my swimming strokes with a float, not in water, but on dry land !!!

And I am learning how to swim freestyle

Daddy saw this episode of 百万大赢家, where they sang the 健康歌 by 范小萱. Then I also commented that I also know the dance steps of that song !!! Learnt that from school

Chanced upon this at Jurong Point on Saturday so I insisted on taking photos with them !!!

I have always liked Fast Track lessons in school, because they teach very interesting sciene experiments and knowledge. And this time, we did an experiment on static electricity ... so when I went home, I showed Daddy and Mummy what that was.



Unfortunately, I did not have enough strength to keep rubbing the pen to create static, so had to rely on Daddy to do it for me. So now I understand why Daddy and Mummy sometimes 跟我来电。哈哈

High EQ ???

I decided to draw a card showing all my K1 friends .... and I started naming all my favourite friends as I drew them on the card. And when I was done, Mummy saw that the card had less than 14 kids (my class had 14 kids altogether). And she realized that I only drew my favourite / best friends on the card.

So when Mummy asked where are the rest of my classmates, I replied her that the rest went to toilet so therefore I cannot draw them onto my card .... high EQ right, instead of saying I only want to draw my favourite / best friends !!! Haha.

And then I realized I forgot to draw myself into the picture .... haha

Xavier's Birthday Party

The K1 class was invited to Xavier's birthday party on Sunday morning, held at Jurong Safra Kids Amaze !! And this was the third time I went there.

The Kids Amaze personnel was trying to get the kids to play some group games and activities ... but I guessed either we (the kids) were too excited to enjoy ourselves at the Kids Amaze playground, or the games were too boring that we lost interest pretty fast. Haha

In the end, we ended up enjoying ourselves in the playground instead. And after 1.5 hours of fun, it was lunch time. Xavier's parents ordered buffet lunch for us ... yummy !!! And there was really too much food !!!

Cake cutting ceremony !!! And I was right .... told Daddy and Mummy that Xavier likes sports cars a lot, seen from his cake. So Daddy and Mummy bought a sports car for Xavier as his birthday present !!! You see, I know my friends pretty well. Haha

Can you guess whose finger that was ??? Compare to the colour of the sleeve .... haha. Everyone was waiting to eat the cake, but I was still enjoying my 3rd chicken drumlet .... cannot waste time waiting for cake ... must eat something. Haha

And see who we have here ??? Miss Daphne !!! She was my English teacher in Playgroup ... but went on to study in NTU. And so all my teachers who taught me and are teaching me : 宋老师, Miss Daphne and Ms Kristy

We left the place at 1 pm since I needed to go home to catch my nap, before my little CMA test at 4 pm that day ....

Ice-Cream Making Workshop

Daddy bought the ice-cream making workshop voucher for $9.90. The workshop is organized by The LearningTech, a subsidiary of Times Publishing.

When Daddy bought the voucher, it was not stated that it is not parent-accompanied. Luckily, I'm super adaptive and super outgoing, so I had no problem at all when I realised that Daddy and Mummy will be outside the room. There were a couple of children who were crying and refused to be left alone.

Daddy and Mummy were in the other room listening to a "parents' workshop", aka sales talk, trying to sell reference books, encyclopedias and other multimedia teaching aids.... The ice-cream making is supposed to be one of the activities from the reference books. But since Mummy and Daddy have been going to the library with me every week to borrow different books, and also downloading resources from the internet, plus my FastTrack lessons in schools, they feel that there is no need to buy anymore reference books. Especially I'll probably just go through them a few times, and would not refer to them anymore.

So its just me enjoying the workshop.....

Just in case anyone is interested to make ice-cream at home.... this is the recipe...... shall try that again at home

Well, its not actually professional ice-cream making, but I still had good fun. And I learnt that I can actually make ice-cream using very simple tools!

Jacob Ballas Garden Fun

Since Sunday morning was a pretty nice weather, we decided to go to Jacob Ballas Garden for some fun. Arranged to meet 表妹，舅舅，舅母 and 公公 at the garden.

But when we reached the treehouse, it was closed for maintenance !!!

So we explored some really interesting trees .... see, national tree of Madagascar !!! Isn't that the cartoon movie ???

Cheap Thrill

Went for a quick dinner at Yew Tee Square, and we saw the Children's Day Celebration organized by the tenants at Yew Tee Square. So Mummy bought some wolfberries to get a receipt of $5 for me to have some cheap thrill .... haha

Wanted !!!

Daddy and I are worth 5 million Euros !!!! Not bad right, even when Euros is depreciating ....

Build-A-Bear Session

Daddy and Mummy brought me to the "Build-A-Bear" shop to celebrate Children's Day for me. I had one bear as a gift from Auntie Peiling and Uncle Shucheng when I was younger. So this time, after much deliberation, I decided to choose a dog, instead of a bear

Then filling the doggie with cotton wool .....



Giving the doggie with all my love .... and gave the doggie the 'wow' 'wow' sound (sound chip implanted inside the body)



And the final brush to make it clean and tidy



Chose a princess outfit (called Sleeping Beauty) for my little doggie ....

And tada ... my little Princess (that was what I called my doggie) was born !!!! Daddy had a 'little' shock on the final price of my Princess ... haha

While waiting for the MRT (since I expected the MRT to be really slow .... given that the Transport Minister has not gotten back on my query ... look at my previous post), I took out my Princess and hugged it tight

Once I reached home, I decided to change the attires of my bear and Princess !!!

And Princess shall sleep with me on my bed tonight .... Daddy and Mummy just hoped I do not keep pressing my Princess to have the wow wow sound ... haha
