Does This Sound Familiar ?

Today, while I was in the car with Daddy and Mummy, I took the story book "The Great Big Turnip Story" and wanted Mummy to choose which character in the book does she want. There were

Farmer, The Wife, Jack, Bird, Cat, Dog, Turnip etc

So Mummy chose Dog. Then I told Mummy that she cannot choose Dog. Mummy insisted that since I asked her to choose, then she has the right to choose the Dog. But I told her that the Dog was too big for her and that Daddy should have the Dog. So I told her to choose another one. Mummy thought for a while and chose the Bird.

And I have to tell Mummy again that she cannot choose the Bird, for the simple reason that the Bird is small enough for me to choose later. Mummy argued that I was the one who told her to choose and yet she was rejected twice for the choices that she made !! But I gave good reasons for both her choices ... and I told Mummy that she can choose The Wife instead, since this character suited her

Then Mummy turned over to Daddy and said "Does this sound familiar ?"

Daddy commented that I am starting to show the "good qualities" of the ruling party grassroot leader .....

1. Give people choices to choose, but once people made up their mind, the leader will tell them the choices made were not that good
2. Justify with a good reason.
3. And then "enlighten" them by telling them the choice they should make !!!
