Happy Father's Day

Since coming Sunday is Father's Day, we did some art and craft for our Daddies in school.

Drew pictures to decorate the paper bag .....


And inside the paper bag, a Father's Day card (front page). The bottom car is Daddy's car, while the car on top is a police car !! When Daddy asked me why was there a police car (whether it was to catch our car), I laughed and said no !!!! Ha ha. And I 'understood' the meaning of 太阳雨. See long strokes in the background representing rain, and at the top left corner is yet the sun !!!


And upon opening the card,

And that is not all. Inside the paper bag is a little bag of cookies !!! 'Made' by myself for Daddy (rather the teachers did most of the work, and I just did the dough and packed into the bag). When I brought it home, I told Daddy and Mummy that they can eat, but cannot finish the cookies. Must leave them for me to bring to school the following day !!! Ha ha

Shifting !!!

Yes, we are shifting soon ... not where we are going to stay, but where we are going to study. The lease at Pat's Schoolhouse at Arena Country Club is going to end at end Sep 2011, so the school management is now looking for a suitable place to relocate. They have a few places in mind, but have not decided on one. So till now, they could not let the parents know the new location, except that it will still be in the West

Daddy and Mummy hope the new location would be convenient to us, either near our home place, or Daddy's workplace, or some place along the way while Daddy goes to work everyday ....

Cycling at Jurong Central Park

We went to the Jurong Central Park to ride my bike, since the weather was good for outdoor activities. Realized that there as a drive-through MacDonalds there (looks like MacDonalds has been rather agressive to set up their branches in parks).

Lots of people flying their kites at the park. And some of the kites were pretty big (bigger than the size of a person). Daddy accompanied me on my cycling trip in the park, while Mummy took shelter at MacDonalds. Not much shade there, compared to West Coast Park where the trees over there were much bigger and could provide better shade. So after 20 mins or so, we decided to join Mummy and take shelter at MacDonalds as well

Nice environment at MacDonalds. With the morning breeze and the huge fans at the ceiling, sitting outdoors was quite enjoyable


And look what I have ??? Happy Meal !!! And comes with a free toy inside that.


Enjoying my pancake ... had my first round of breakfast (chwee kueh) at a coffeeshop at Jurong West St 91. And after a few rounds of cycling up and down the slopes, I decided to have my second round of breakfast




Next time, I shall try cycling on a bike with 2 wheels instead ...

Daddy's Actual Birthday

On Wed night, my place had a sudden downpour which lasted for quite a while. So at about 530 am on Thurs morning, I took my pillow and bolster and went over to Daddy's room to sleep with him. Daddy woke up and prepared himself to go to work ... and with the lights on, and him making noises, I could still sleep like a log in his room. Ha ha.

Since Daddy had a meeting at 0830 hrs, so he tried to wake me up at 715 am to prepare me to go to school. However, I was relunctant to wake up. And then Daddy said "What day is it today ?" and that immediately woke me up .... reason is 9 Jun is Daddy's birthday. And I have promised Mummy that I will wake up first thing in the morning and give Daddy a surprise. So I wished Daddy a happy birthday, sprang out of bed, and immediately went back to my room to get the surprise ....

And tada .... the birthday card that I specially drew for Daddy

I gave Daddy a big kiss and he did the same. However, I forgot to do one thing .... ie. give Daddy the second big kiss and tell Daddy that the second kiss was from Mummy, who was too far away at this time. Haha. Until when I skype with Mummy in the evening, then Mummy reminded me to do that .....

Anyway, in the evening, we went down to 爷爷and 奶奶 place for dinner. And they bought a cake to celebrate Daddy's birthday

Before enjoying the cake by msyself, especially chocolate cake !!!!

And on the way home in Daddy's car, I told Daddy that I must sleep with Daddy tonight. And the reason was that Mummy told me that since it was Daddy's birthday I must sleep with Daddy ... and same logic goes for Mummy's birthday etc.

Daddy was skeptical of what I said, but since I have been a good gal this entire week while Mummy was overseas, Daddy agreed .... HOORAY !!! And the moment I reached home, I automatically took my pillow and bolster, went to Daddy's bed, pull up the blanky and said good night to Daddy ... haha

Update For Mummy

Just to provide some update for Mummy while she is in the States, although I have been Skyping with her after dinner everyday.

Monday, we had dinner at home, with Daddy preparing Japanese curry and rice for dinner. Since I have not finished my CMA homework, I did that after skyping with Mummy .... and I changed to a new assessment book !!!

Tuesday, Daddy brought me to my favourite Moo Moo Cow restaurant, aka Lai Lai Causal Dining at JP2. Ordered my usual sweet corn soup noodle with warm Ribena. Daddy ordered his Taiwan Mian Xian and saba fish for me. Now, when I went to the restaurant, I did not need any help from Daddy. Automatically raised up my hand to signal for a waitress to order my food (who cares whether Daddy is ready or not). And when the waitress came, I just point for the menu and said I want this, and this, and this ..... job done in seconds !!!

Wednesday, Daddy left office a 15 minutes earlier than usual to pick me up from school. So that he can reach home at 6 pm, and prepare dinner. We had udon with chicken soup, and japanese mushroom, sliced fish and boiled chicken wing. Since it was still early to skype with Mummy, Daddy brought me to Yew Tee Point to buy my favourite 马蹄水 and mini bread (for my after-dinner snack) from Four Leaves. Brought some bread for Cho Jie Jie as well since she was at our house. And I finished the entire bottle of 马蹄水 before I slept.

Since this week, my school has been teaching me the concept of recycling, one of my school project is to make clothes out of recycled materials. And today, it was time to do a fashion show / parade of our clothes !!!

How is that coming for a 4.5 years old fashion designer ???

Tomorrow, Daddy will bring me to 爷爷 and 奶奶 place for dinner since Daddy's evening telecon has been cancelled this week. Will skype with Mummy from there .....

Update on Food Poisoning Incident

Remember the food poisoning incident at Pat's Schoolhouse, due to meals catered from Mum's Kitchen. The MOH investigation has been completed. And it is confirmed that the outbreak of the food poisoning is due to Salmonella Enteritidis. This bacteria is not found in seafood, but found in poultry and eggs, which means that the bacteria has gotten into our lunch through cross-contamination at Mum's Kitchen. And NEA is going to take legal action against Mum's Kitchen

Glad to know that all the affected kids have been back to school. And definitely hope that we do not have a repeat of such incident again ...

Early Birthday Celebration for Daddy

On Sunday, we went to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Tried out the new Japanese buffet restaurant (Tarafuku) at 313 basement. Spread was not that good, and it is more of fusion Japanese type, rather than authentic cuisine (can guess from the price). However, the taste and cooking was pretty good, including the desserts. Really nice ice-cream, coffee topping milk pudding and caramel custard pudding.

姑姑 ordered my favourite udon for me. And this is how I ate my udon ... by sucking loudly each strand of udon by udon ... haha


And I took funny pictures of 奶奶 and 叔叔 (that explains why the pictures were so blurred)


And then Daddy and I also took funny photos ... just for Mummy so that she can see us when she is in the States

As usual, my tummy was round and 'bloated' from the buffet spread. And the best after-dinner entertainment (while the adults were still eating) was to play with iPhone !!!




And I took my 1 hr afternoon nap at the quiet place at Orchard Central basement ....

Sesame Street 2011

I never fail to go to Sesame Street performances at shopping malls during the school holidays season. Went to those in 2009 and 2010. And today Daddy brought me to the Sesame Street performance 2011 at City Mall Shopping Centre.

Had my dinner early there, so that I can be in time for the 7 pm performance. Daddy went earlier to help get a seat for me. Since I was 10 mins early, Daddy helped to take a photo of me

And at 7 pm, the show started, with Elmo, Cookie Monster and Grover on stage !!! But the favourite character has to be Elmo, because he has the loudest applause !!!

And the compere for the performance came on stage to start playing games with the kids

I was eagerly raising my hand high up in the sky to be called on stage .... but the stupid compere gave me a miss

And when the show ended, it was Meet and Greet photo taking session. Before that, Daddy already warned me that if I did not get the chance to take photo with my favourite characters, I must not cry or throw tantrums, and I said Yes. However, when I broke my promise and cried !!! A kind uncle saw that, and passed me the Meet and Greet pass (he went on stage to take a photo, but did not return the pass to the organizers).

So in the end, 姑姑 and I managed to take a photo with the 3 Sesame Street characters.

When I went down stage, Daddy was angry with me and gave me a light hit on my palm, for breaking my promise .... :( Have to remember not to break promises next time

Daddy was about to bring me home since it was close to 8 pm. However, when 姑姑 asked me whether I wanted to stay over another night at her place, I quickly agreed !!! Even when Daddy tried to use swimming on Sun morning to get me home, that did not work .... haha. So in the end, Daddy went home alone, and I got to stay another night at 姑姑 place !!! Hooray !!!

Mummy Is Far Far Away

Mummy went on a one week overseas conference to the States since last Sat ... so it would be just me and Daddy for the next one week at home.

Last Fri after school, 爷爷 fetched me from school so that I can have dinner at his place, and then sleep over at his place as well, while Daddy went out with Mummy before her trip. Mummy told me about her overseas trip one week back, so I was prepared for this.

Daddy and I will try to post more pictures of me this week so that Mummy can look at the blog and see how I have been doing ... and Daddy has the whole time to himself for one week !!! Haha
