Preparing Dinner

First day with Daddy at home .... spent my morning doing and revising my CMA homework, before we went for lunch at Bukit Panjang Plaza. Told Daddy that I wanted to return my library books, and borrowed new books, especially the Usborne Reading Series.

After my library trip, we went back to catch my afternoon nap. Daddy was tired, so he caught a short nap as well (short because he was disturbed by me, haha).

Then it was dinner preparation time. Daddy had cooked herbal soup and stewed chicken in the morning, so in the evening, I helped Daddy to cut the vegetables (have been looking forward to this since morning). Easy feat for me since I have done it too many times.


And washed the rice ....




And then it was just waiting for Mummy to be back home before Daddy stir fry the vegetables !!

After dinner, I showed Mummy how my CMA revision went, and read some of the newly borrowed books with her, before I went to have my shower and prepare for bedtime.

One day gone, and Daddy was thinking of bringing me to IKEA tomorrow morning, before dropping by 爷爷 and 奶奶 place in the afternoon for my nap. Then Daddy can have his own free time ... haha (still have to check with 爷爷 and 奶奶 whether they are free or not).

Friday shall be my first dental appointment !!! Scary scary ...

Annual NJCSB Xmas Gathering 2011

This year, the annual NJCSB christmas gathering was at our place. So instead of the usual christmas eve gathering, we pushed it back to boxing day instead, since it was a public holiday. Did lunch, instead of dinner.

Had quite a good turnout : Uncle Shucheng / Auntie Peiling and family, Uncle Shaolin / Auntie Siling, Uncle Mindge / Auntie Cindy and family, Uncle Jason /Auntie Huixing and family, Uncle Inn Chiang / Auntie Yanzhu and family and a special guest .... all in all, we had a total of 13 adults and 8 kids (including us). Unfortunately, Uncle Dunman / Auntie Lingru and family could not make it since their kids were down with flu, and Uncle Solomon had too much of a party to make his way. Uncle Qingrui had a vacation booked earlier on ....

Special guest of honour this year .... Uncle Weixuan (the guy behind Auntie Yanzhu). He is Daddy's junior. But he has really changed quite a bit .... too much good food as the culprit. Haha

Nevertheless, we had good fun, great opportunity to catch up.

We catered main lunch from Lee Wee Brothers .... satay, fishball, otah, vegetarian bee hoon, curry chicken and vegetarian spring rolls. For the kids, Mummy prepared white rice, salmon in dashi stock, and vegetables with mixed mushroom. Auntie Cindy also made grilled chicken wings and mini sausages, while Auntie Peiling brought chocolate macaroons from Bakerzin (yummy) !!! Auntie Yanzhu was in charge of fruits. Of course, different kind of wine contribution from Uncle Weixuan and Uncle Shaolin. Really a good spread of food, with again, too much left over as with previous years !!! So in the end, we had to have folks take some food back

See Uncle Shaolin and Lucian. On the job training for him .... because Uncle Shaolin and Auntie Siling will be having their first child on 23 Jan 2012 (CNY day) !!!!

And while Uncle Mindge was helping Lucian to change his diaper ....

Uncle Shaolin got another free lesson .... stressed !!!

Hooray !!! Job done .... looks easy wah

Next year, we will be looking forward to our 18th annual christmas gathering ... and definitely, the number count for the little ones will increase

Christmas Head Gear

Mummy saw the head gears in Watson and bought 3 for me at $5.90 .... perfect for the christmas celebration

Cupcake Making Time

Mummy has not baked for quite a while ever since I was born. So in preparation for my birthday party, Mummy decided to bake me a special birthday cake. So to make sure she is ready for the actual day, Mummy did some simple baking. And of course I helped her since I had some experience in baking cupcakes in school ...

And the final products ..... we had a lion-shaped cake, which I called "Alex" - taken from Madagascar

And for the next few days, Mummy was browsing through the Net to get some ideas of the designs of my special birthday cake

Canvas Painting

Daddy and Mummy saw this canvas painting at IMM Giant some time back. And it was going on offer (cost less than $5 !!!). They bought it so that I can paint it at a later date.

Almost after 2 month, we took it out. The giraffe canvas picture

And with my apron nicely protecting my clothes, I started on my painting journey. Paint was provided as part of the package. There were only basic colours, so there were instructions given on mixing 2 colours to get different colour tones or secondary colours

Mummy helped me as well ....





And the final product (with some nice touch-up by Mummy at the end) !!! In fact, Mummy had fun touching up the painting

Christmas Is Coming !!!

Time to put up the christmas tree for 2012. So in the evening, after dinner, we took out the christmas tree that has been with us for 3 years and started to decorate it

Helping to "spread" out the leaves so that the christmas tree would look really "bushy" ....





Hanging all the decorations on the tree .... bells, balls, bears (all starting with the letter "b"), horns and also ribbons !!!



Once done, Daddy told me to make 3 poses in front of the christmas tree !!!


And to clear up the little rubbish that we created during the tree decoration, I gladly volunteered to do it.





With Christmas coming, that would mean my birthday is also coming !!! Hooray !!!

Family Potrait

When Daddy came to fetch me from school, I proudly showed Daddy the family potrait that I have drawn in school

And Daddy had lots of queries (other than the colour combination used)。 真的是问题男孩!!!

1. Why is Daddy's hair standing up, while Mummy and my hair are down
2. Why am I not smiling but looking sad instead (I am the one in the middle of Daddy and Mummy) ?
3. Why are Daddy and Mummy also not smiling ?
4. What are the black lines on the pincers of the crab ? And what purpose do they serve ?

And the answers can be found below when I explained to Daddy and Mummy at home !!!

Gingerbread Man Wallpaper

Saw this very beautiful Gingerbread Man at Lot 1 shopping centre when we went for dinner. So I insisted on Daddy to take a photo of me with the Gingerbread Man ....

And Daddy had this photo as his iPhone wallpaper !!!

Making Fruit Salad in School

On Wednesday, we made fruit salad in school. Ms Kristy and 宋老师 have written in the Communication Book to ask Daddy and Mummy to let me bring some fruits to school. So we went grocery shopping for fruits before that, and bought

Green apples, dragonfruits, water apples and grapes.

So on the way home after school on Wednesday, I was really excited when Daddy asked about my fruit salad making session in school. Told him in the car about how the fruit salad making session went, and how I even helped Ms Kristy to wash the apples, and how Olivia had swallowed some seeds in the grapes etc ...

And then back home, I told Mummy how it went again ....

Weekend, we need to go grocery shopping again for fruits and salad cream. And I shall show Daddy and Mummy how we can make fruit salad at home !!!

My First Video Shoot

I took Daddy's iPhone and started my first video shoot .... introducing my home, as I added some commentary along the way.

i.e, if you have not gotten giddy after watching this video .... haha. Looks like I got to REALLY improve my video shooting skills

Singapore 2012 Wishes

At the Millenia Walk, there was this counter where they were getting people to pen down their wishes for Singapore 2012 on a white ball. And on the last day of 2011 during the countdown, the organizer would then float all the balls on the water

So I decided to draw something on the ball, and wrote my name on it.



And then I thought why not do a second drawing ... and this time, can you guess what were the odd-looking shapes beside the butterfly ?? They are SUPER BIG raindrops .... and then I followed up with some really BLACK AND DARK clouds !!!



Oops ... I did not mean to wish Singapore to have more floods in 2012 .... Haha. But isn't that the norm for Singapore recently ???

有趣的对话

As usual, Daddy was playing FM92.4 in the car while driving, and I was conducting behind ....

Then I started to conduct out of sync with the tempo, ie. when the music sounded fast, I wanted to conduct slowly and vice versa. So I told Daddy and Mummy :

慢就是快，快就是慢 (meaning if the tempo is fast, it means slow conducting)

Then this reminded Daddy of a familiar phrase that he often heard in drama serial. He said
"婧婷，你以为这是 空即是色，色即是空"

Mummy burst out laughing like crazy and could not stop .... and I was thinking what the adults were talking about .....

Hmm ..... have I moved on to the next level of enlightenment ??? Haha

My First 3D Puzzle

At the Takashimaya Toy Fair at B2, Mummy bought this 3D puzzle for me (real good deal, since it was originally $12.90, but selling now for only $4.90).

So once we reached home, I tried my hands at assembling the 3D puzzle. Mummy helped initially, but then I wanted to complete it by myself. So with a little help from Mummy, I spent a good 1 hr sitting down to piece the puzzle together.





I really have good concentration span. When I was just less than 2 years old, I can spend time to sit down and do 2D puzzles one after another .... so 1 hr is nothing to me. Haha. After much effort, this is the final product !!!

We are going back to Takashimaya to buy other designs the next weekend !!!! Hooray !!!!

Piano Again

爷爷, 奶奶, 姑姑 and 叔叔 came to our place on Monday (public holiday) to have lunch. So I proudly showed 姑姑 what I have learnt in school




And then playing a 'duet' with Daddy. Haha

小小萤火虫

I sang the 小小萤火虫 song that 宋老师 taught me when I was in Nursery.



Then Mummy commented that she also sang the same song when she was in kindergarten. And she performed on stage with that song as well !!! She dug up the photo when we went down to 公公 place

Amazing that some 儿歌 just are as popular after 30+ years ... just like the Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, Baa Baa Black Sheep etc. Definitely not songs by 孙燕姿 or 周杰伦 !!!

By the way, can you guess which one is Mummy ?? Haha

MP Walkabout

I was at 爷爷 and 奶奶 place on Friday when their MP dropped by every house to say hello and get to know the residents. The previous walkabout happened before the May Election and Daddy thought it would be the last time they saw the MP .... looks like it is harder to earn $$ for the MP now. Haha

The MP is about to deliver soon !!! Must give credit to her for still doing the house visit at this point in time. The other difference is I am in the picture !!

And as usual, I slept over at 爷爷 and 奶奶 place. So now it is easier for Daddy and Mummy to go enjoy without me on Fri nights .... haha.

Is it really me ???

One evening, my ex-teacher Miss Daphne SMS Mummy that she saw a video which reminded her of me !!! And Miss Daphne commented that the last part of the video was super super like me !!! So Miss Daphne sent the link of the video over.

Daddy and Mummy watched the video and burst out laughing.

They knew I was a little drama princess, but did not know I was that SUPER drama .... and Miss Daphne confirmed that I could be super drama in school. Haha

'Dry' Swimming

This is how I show Daddy and Mummy what is 'dry' swimming .... haha, ie. practising my swimming strokes with a float, not in water, but on dry land !!!
