Daddy read on the Net that the Istana is open to public on Sunday, so we decided to make a trip there in the morning, before we go down to 公公 place.
Reached Plaza Singapura at 845 am to have breakfast at Toast Box. After we were done with our breakfast, we made our way to the Istana. The magnificent gate ....
And the guard of honour
And gosh, while we reached the entrance at 915 am (the Istana was opened at 8 am), there was quite a queue formed. Took about 30 mins or so, before we managed to get inside to go through the security station. In the meantime, the sky turned a little gloomy .... and I was trying to sing the "Rain Rain Go Away" song
Once we reached the Istana grounds, we saw this white swan gliding gracefully on the water
And it was time to go loose and wander around the BIG BIG place. Greenery everywhere !!!
All the Singapore birthday wishes !!!
And the Jurong Bird Park had a station in the Istana. For every $10 dollars donation, we could take a photo with the beautiful birds
And get to touch the Flying Squirrel specimen
How I wished that the Istana can be opened to public everyday, so that I can just run about on the grass .... errr, which president candidate said that he is going to push for that ??? Vote vote ??? Haha
My "Rain Rain Go Away" song did not work, so it still rained in the morning ....
We had to cut short our morning trip and therefore made our way to 公公 place after that. Hope to go to the Istana again this year, when the place is made open to public again
